ECC Showcase Santa Maria II Highlights Young Talents in English Performance

The ECC Showcase Santa Maria II lit up the school auditorium on Monday morning as students from Grades 1 to 4 took the stage, showcasing their English skills through lively performances.
Taken place at the school auditorium from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m., the event featured a vibrant lineup of performances—all delivered in English. Each class demonstrated the language skills they have been developing through the ECC program, aimed at nurturing students’ ability to express themselves confidently and clearly in English from an early age.
The audience comprised students from Grades 1 through 5, teachers, and a number of enthusiastic parents who were invited to witness their children’s progress. To ensure wider access, the event was also streamed live via school’s official social media platforms.
“This performance is a special moment for our ECC students,” said one of the teachers in charge of the ECC program, Ms. Shendy Elisabet Simbolon. “It not only highlights the English skills they have developed this year, but also aims to inspire other students to take part in the program.”
The ECC program has been a consistent feature in the school’s language curriculum, designed to complement formal English instruction with fun, interactive sessions that build communication skills in real-life contexts.
The event concluded with applause, smiles, and a shared sense of pride in the young learners’ growth. For many of the performers, it was a first taste of the stage—one that will hopefully inspire continued passion for learning and expressing in English.****
